November 2:We get our first win of the season,94-92 at New Jersey.

It was a great homecoming as we defeated the Nets in East Rutherford,94-92,as I scored 14 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 6 assists to help my team win. I was excited to play in front of my family and my friends, because New Rochelle is close to New Jersey. We did not have a single 20-point scorer (Michael Redd and Bobby Simmons had 19) and we almost lost the game late, but we had help from Jamaal Magloire's 10 points and 13 rebounds, and Toni Kukoc's 13 points off the bench, and Mo Williams chipped in with 8,and that helped. We really discovered that Jason Kidd is one of the best playmakers in the league by nearly getting a triple-double (10 points,12 assists,9 rebounds) and Vince Carter is outstanding with his 25 point performance, but we came out with a win. After the game,we Fitzpatricks went out to dinner and talked about things at home and having the opportunity of seeing me soon in Milwaukee, and I hope they come out and see me when they get a chance. Next up,is our home opener against a great Miami Heat team,Saturday night at the Bradley Center. I haven't been to Milwaukee before I got drafted, but I heard there's lots to do there. Let's hope we can kick arse Saturday!

November 1:A loss in Philly for starters,97-95

I was pumped for my first ever NBA game on November 1,2005 as we took on the 76ers at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. We thought we had an improved team, but for starters,we lost 97-95. I had a decent night scoring 12 points and grabbing 7 rebounds, but I was in deep foul trouble with 5 and I committed 3 turnovers. Our leading scorer on the Bucks,Michael Redd, scored 23 points. That is pretty good for a guy who always scores 20 points a night. And T.J. Ford, who missed the entire 2004-05 season due to injuries, responded well with 22 points,4 rebounds and 4 assists. And we had great help on rebounding from the other newcomers on the Bucks,as Bobby Simmons and Jamaal Magloire had 9 rebounds each. The best players form the reserves were Charlie Bell, who had 10 points, and Toni Kukoc, who had 6 rebounds. For the victorious Sixers,Allen Iverson had 23 points and 8 assists (now that's why he's a great player),Chris Webber had 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Kyle Korver had 20 points and 8 rebounds. One of the highlights of my 1st game ever was that I made my first 5 field goals, proving that I do belong in the NBA. As for being on the road,I do not feel homesick at all,and before the season began,Erin, the kids and I moved into an apartment in downtown Milwaukee, where I met a heavyset landlord who is also a season ticket holder for the Bucks, and I will discuss that later this season. Now it's off to New Jersey,as we will take on the Nets tomorrow, and my family will see me play. I hope they will enjoy the game. Slainte and Erin Go Bragh!

Welcome to my blog!

Hi,my name is Philip Francis Fitzpatrick, and I want to be an aspiring NBA player. I wish I could play for the Milwaukee Bucks, and this is a fantasy blog about my life in the NBA in my rookie season of 2005-06. I was born on January 1,1984 in New Rochelle,N.Y.,the oldest of 9 children. My father's name is Henry Francis Fitzpatrick, and my mother's name is Patricia Margaret O'Hurley-Fitzpatrick. I have 8 other brothers and sisters, from oldest to youngest, they are:Kathleen,Daniel,Irene,Andrew,Ian,Francis,Maureen and Margaret. We also have an uncle,Msgr. Hugh Fitzpatrick, who is the pastor of our church,Our Lady of the Immaculate Heart Parish,in New Rochelle. I went to Blessed Sacrament School as a kid,and I went to Iona Preparatory High School, where I became famous for my basketball skills. I would become a great basketball player at Iona College, and I met my girlfriend,Erin there. In the summer of 2004,Erin and I were married, and after our graduation,Erin gave birth to 2 wonderful kids,Liam and Ireland. The reason why I am blogging is my love for the game,my family, the Irish people, and more. After a great senior season at Iona, where I averaged 19 points per game,11 rebounds per game,2 assists per game and 3 blocks per game,I was named College Player of the Year in 2005,and I was chosen by the Bucks as the #1 overall pick in the NBA Draft. The Bucks expect a lot from me,and with my 7'1",250 lb. frame, they can expect a lot from me. Even the media gave me a great nickname:The Lumbering Leprechaun! Well, that's all for this 1st edition of this blog,in my next blog,I'll tell you about my first game!
